Refund and Return Policy (for Standard POD Books)
1. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (Change of Mind)
European Union & United Kingdom Right of Withdrawal
For standard books that are not personalised or custom-made, customers residing in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK) have the legal right to cancel their purchase for any reason within 14 calendar days of receiving their order.
The Cancellation Process: To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by contacting us at simon@simonharling.blog within the 14-day period.
Refunds Without Return: Due to the print-on-demand nature of our products and the desire to simplify the process for our customers, we waive our right to receive the physical goods back when you exercise your 14-day right of withdrawal.
Refund Timeline: Once we confirm your cancellation notification, we will process a full refund, including the original standard shipping cost, on your original payment method within 14 calendar days of receiving your notice of cancellation.
2. Damaged and Faulty Items (30-Day Guarantee)
Damages, Defects, and Unsatisfactory Condition
Your satisfaction is our priority. If your book arrives defective, damaged, or in an unsatisfactory condition, please inspect your order immediately and contact us at simon@simonharling.blog within 30 days of receipt.
Resolution: We will promptly evaluate the issue and, at your discretion, offer a free replacement or a full refund. In these cases, we will cover any necessary return shipping costs or arrange for disposal, in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
3. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Items Exempt from the 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
We cannot accept returns, and the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply, to the following items:

Personalised or custom-made items: This includes books that have been specifically inscribed, bound, or customised to the buyer's unique specifications.

4. General Refund Information
Refund Processing
We will notify you once we’ve received the necessary information (cancellation notice or damage report) and confirmed your refund approval. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund, too.
