Shipping Policy for Si Harling

 

 

1. Order Processing and Manufacturing

 

All orders are processed, printed, and prepared for shipping during our operating hours (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays).

  • Order Processing Time: Due to the custom, print-on-demand nature of our books, please allow 3–7 business days for your order to be produced and prepared for shipment.

  • Order Acceptance: Once your order is accepted, you will receive an order confirmation email. You will receive a separate shipment confirmation email with tracking information when your order leaves our facility.

 

2. Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates

 

Shipping charges for your order are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your delivery location and the weight of your order. We primarily use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed for international orders to ensure the highest level of security and delivery confirmation.

  • Delivery Guarantee (UK/EU): We guarantee delivery of your order without undue delay, and in any event, within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date your order is accepted.

  • Delays: Please note that these are estimates. Delivery delays can occasionally occur due to customs processing, weather events, or factors outside our control.

 

3. International Shipping and Customs Duties ⚠️

 

This section is vital for all customers outside the United Kingdom.

  • Our Service: We use a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) system, such as IOSS for the EU, wherever possible.

  • Duties, VAT, and Import Taxes: Your order total at checkout may or may not include local VAT, duties, or customs fees, depending on the destination country and our current shipping arrangement for that region.

    • If VAT is collected at checkout (DDP/IOSS): This will be clearly shown in your total. You will not owe any further VAT upon delivery, and your item should clear customs quickly.

    • If VAT/Duties are NOT collected at checkout (DDU): The customer is solely responsible for all import duties, customs fees, tariffs, or value-added taxes (VAT) imposed by the destination country. These charges are typically due upon delivery and are not covered by Si Harling.

  • Refused Packages: If a package is refused by the recipient due to unexpected customs fees, the package will often be destroyed or returned to our fulfillment facility. In these cases, we will issue a refund for the cost of the product only, minus any original shipping fees and any return shipping or customs destruction fees we incur.

 

4. Tracking and Delivery

 

  • Confirmation and Tracking: We will email you a shipment confirmation with a tracking number once your order is shipped. The tracking number will be active within 24–48 hours.

  • Signature Confirmation: For international orders, a signature will be required upon delivery to confirm safe receipt, as you have chosen the Tracked & Signed service. Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to sign for the package.

  • Missing or Lost Orders: If your tracking information shows that your order was delivered but you haven't received it, please contact your local postal service immediately. If the carrier confirms the package is lost, please contact us at simon@simonharling.blog. We will initiate a trace and either resend your order or issue a full refund once the carrier confirms the loss. We cannot be held responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery.
